This privacy policy describes how Pitbull Interactive LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information in the Bubble Burp application (the “App”) for iPhone. By using Bubble Burp, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. We operate no servers of our own, we run no advertising, and nothing in the App follows you to any other app or website.

Anonymous usage statistics — The App reports a small number of events to Mixpanel, an analytics service, so that we can tell how many people play Bubble Burp and how far they get. Exactly three things are reported: that the game was opened, that a new game was started, and that a level began — the last of these including the level number. Nothing else about how you play is sent: not your score, not what you did in a level, and not how long you took.

These events are attached to a random identifier that Mixpanel generates for your installation of the App. It is not your name, your email address, your Apple Account or your device’s advertising identifier, and it does not identify you to any other app. Deleting and reinstalling the App produces a new one.

Mixpanel also attaches basic technical details to each event: the model of device, the version of iOS, the version of the App, and the screen size. Because the events reach Mixpanel over the internet, Mixpanel derives an approximate location — city, region and country — from the IP address the request came from. We use this only to understand roughly where the game is being played. We never see a precise location, and the App does not ask for or use location services.

Preferences and progress stored locally — The App saves your settings and your high score on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). This includes music and sound volume, screen shake, haptics, and your best score. This information stays on your device and is used only to run the game and remember your choices.

Game Center high scores — If you are signed in to Game Center, the App submits your best score to an Apple-hosted leaderboard, and reads back the top scores to display inside the game. What is sent is a number. What comes back is a list of scores and the public Game Center nicknames attached to them. This is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy; we never see your Apple Account, your email address, or your real name, and we receive nothing ourselves.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address
• We do not collect your location
• We do not access your camera, microphone, photos, or contacts
• We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across apps or websites — which is why the App never shows the “Ask App Not to Track” prompt
• We do not use crash reporting
• We do not record your score, your progress, or anything you do inside a level beyond the three events described above
• We do not serve advertisements or work with advertising networks
• We do not require an account with us, and we do not have accounts to create
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties

3. How Your Information Is Used

• Run the game — play through the levels on your device
• Remember your choices — keep your sound, haptics and screen shake settings, and your best score, between sessions
• Show a leaderboard — if you are signed in to Game Center, display the top scores and your own place among them
• Understand how the game is played — count how many people play, how often, and which levels they reach, so we know which parts of the game are working and which are too hard

4. Third-Party Services

Mixpanel receives the anonymous usage statistics described above. Mixpanel Inc. processes them on our behalf under their privacy policy. We do not sell this data, and we do not combine it with anything else.

Game Center is the only third-party service the App uses, and only for leaderboards. It is provided by Apple, and your use of it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. If you are not signed in, the App does not attempt to sign you in, shows no prompt, and plays exactly as it otherwise would — the leaderboard simply says it is unavailable.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store; your download and any interactions with the App Store are handled by Apple under the same policy.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your settings and your high score are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. Scores submitted to Game Center are stored by Apple on their infrastructure, not ours. Usage statistics are stored by Mixpanel on theirs. We hold no database of our own, and there is no account of ours for anyone to breach.

6. Data Retention

Your settings and local high score remain on your device until you change them or uninstall the App. Uninstalling Bubble Burp removes all data it stored on your device, including the random analytics identifier — after which nothing already sent can be connected to a future installation. Usage statistics already sent are retained by Mixpanel under our agreement with them; you can ask us to delete them using the contact address below. Scores already submitted to Game Center are managed by Apple; you can review and reset Game Center data in the Game Center section of your device’s Settings.

7. Your Choices

• Game Center — sign out, or turn Game Center off entirely in your device’s Settings, and no score is ever submitted. Everything else in the game is unaffected.
• Sound, haptics & screen shake — turn each on or off in the App’s Settings.
• Usage statistics — the App has no in-game switch for these. To stop them entirely, uninstall the App; to have what has already been sent deleted, email us at the address below.
• Uninstall — removing the App deletes all data it stored on your device.

8. Children’s Privacy

Bubble Burp is suitable for all ages. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children, it asks for no account, and it contains no advertising, no messaging and no way for players to contact one another. The anonymous usage statistics described above count plays and levels reached; they are not tied to any person and are not used to build a profile of anyone. Game Center is Apple’s service and is subject to whatever restrictions a parent or guardian has set on the device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
